londonberry letter of map revision (lomr-f)
This 22-lot single-family “Londonberry” subdivision is located along Newmarket Creek just north of Todds Lane in Hampton, VA. A Conditional Letter of Map Revision based on Fill (CLOMR- F) was issued by FEMA on June 25, 2013 and the final LOMR-F was issued on April 8, 2019. The extent of the designated floodway along the creek changed with updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) adopted by the City during this same time frame.
The completed flood impact study confirmed that fill placed for the project will not have an adverse impact on the floodplain in this area. For insurance purposes it also determined the limits of those structures to be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) as shown on the revised FIRM. Tasks included:
- Detailed hydraulic analysis using HEC-RAS
- Revised base mapping using Civil3D
- Coordination with City and FEMA
